The first time I saw a big horned sheep was on a drive from Fernie BC, to Calgary AB. There was a small group of them next to the road, I believe they were attracted to the salt as it was during the winter. Their horns are so unique, with the different rings and shades as they grow into a full curl. I think they are one of the coolest animals and are my favourite to paint.
